Insurance and rental agreements
* Please read the rental agreements and be aware what you are signing!
* Ensure the vehicle you are renting is the same as the one described in the agreement – ensure it has the same number plate, colour etc.
* Ensure you understand the level of insurance of the vehicle you are renting.
* Ensure the level of insurance is specified in the contract along with any conditions.
* Check that there is no damage on the vehicle. Should there be damage, ensure it is documented on the contract; additionally it would be advisable to take photos of the vehicle before signing the rental contract. (Make sure the camera has date and time).
* Ensure you have the copy of the contract.
* It is normal for a rental company to ask for a deposit when making a booking and for the time that the vehicle is rented. Ensure it is specified in the contract what is left as deposit and that both parties sign the contract.
* By law, any agreement signed by one side is not a legally binding agreement! Make sure both parties sign.
* Ensure you checked the car as if you were buying it. |

* Insurance does not cover broken glass of the car – such as headlight, windscreens and windows.
* Petrol level? Make sure it mentioned on the agreement |
